Anna-Lena Dauber (born 1998, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) lives and works in Berlin. Her artistic practice moves between visual art, philosophy, and sound. It begins with a close observation of material processes and structures—especially those overlooked in everyday urban life.
Raised in a rural environment with a strong connection to the Baltic Sea, she developed an early sensitivity to natural phenomena, environmental processes, and the aesthetic qualities of humble materials. Alongside school, she worked as a pianist and singer before studying Philosophy and English in Rostock. This academic background continues to shape the theoretical depth and ecological awareness of her artistic work.
Since moving to Berlin, Anna-Lena Dauber has focused on linking theoretical reflection with artistic practice. Her works—including photography, object art, and digital collage—explore material transformation, the relationship between humans and their environment, and the agency of things.
In September 2025, she realized the large-scale solo exhibition Plastik im System in Berlin, which she conceived, curated, and organized independently. The exhibition presented several hundred works made from found plastic fragments, photographs, and digital collages, as well as a sound installation by composer Sascha Dragicevic.
Her practice is interdisciplinary, process-oriented, and ecologically attuned. She combines scientific thinking with intuitive perception and directs attention toward material phenomena.
